Aldar Academies is actively seeking a dedicated Teacher - Inclusion for Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, with the position commencing in August 2026.

Mamoura British Academy offers a British curriculum and caters to a mixed-gender population until Year 8, transitioning to a girls-only environment from Year 9 onwards. Main Duties

Key Task:

Roles and responsibilities include:

Teamwork and collaboration

- Communicate effectively at all levels.
- Build positive relationships with all members of the school community.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging lessons that meet curriculum standards.
- Work flexibly with fellow teachers and staff.
- Partner with parents to support student well-being and ensure optimal academic outcomes.
- Work with curriculum support personnel (when necessary) to facilitate children's development.

Specific Duties

Teaching and learning:

- Maintain a thorough understanding of the curriculum.
- Organize classroom resources and create displays that promote an engaging learning atmosphere.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse abilities within the class.
- Inspire students through dynamic and creative teaching methods.
- Observe and assess students in accordance with school standards.
- Reflect on classroom practices, monitor progress, and adjust the environment and planning as needed.
- Collaborate with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists when required.
- Ensure the integration of Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and principles throughout the curriculum.

Assessment and data:

- Oversee the progress of a class.
- Follow assessment and recording requirements for students' development using Target Tracker.
- Use assessment data to guide future planning, provisions, and interventions.
- Provide feedback to parents and guardians regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behaviour management and duties:

- Implement the school's behaviour policy.
- Effectively manage classrooms using strategies that meet students' needs to motivate and challenge them.
- Build positive relationships with students, demonstrate appropriate authority, and act decisively when necessary within the school's behaviour framework.
- Serve as a positive role model, consistently showcasing the attitudes, values, and behaviours expected of students.
- Uphold high expectations for behaviour, encouraging self-control and independence among all learners.
- Carry out duties as directed in accordance with school policy.

Wider professional responsibilities:

- Engage in a curriculum action group to support planning, assessment, resource development, and special events related to that team.
- Assist in organizing and participating in school events, outings, and activities, which may occur on weekends or evenings.
- Effectively communicate with parents and guardians about students' achievements and well-being using school systems such as CPOMS when appropriate.
- Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
- Lead a weekly ECA each term.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject along with a PGCE or another teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:

- A minimum of 1-2 years of teaching experience.
