Be the voice for change: pupil advocacy at Dorothy Goodman School

Are you ready to challenge the status quo?

At Dorothy Goodman School, nurture and respect aren’t just words - they are the foundation of everything that we do. We are looking for a visionary advocate to join our team and empower our pupils (ages 4 - 19) to reach exceptional academic, personal and social outcomes.

By building skillful relationships with pupils, families and professionals, you will ensure our pupils’ futures remain the ultimate priority.

You won’t just be a staff member; you’ll be a catalyst for independence. Working within a collaborative team of advocates, you will harness the power of the wider school network to amplify our pupils' voices.

  • The Vision: You will facilitate Path Plans, creating a space where pupils can dream and aspire without limits.

  • The Impact: You won’t stop at the dream. You will be the one putting plans into action, ensuring those aspirations become a lived reality.

If you have the skills and dedication to make a difference this role could be for you.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subject to a check being carried out at an Enhanced level by the Disclosure and Barring Service regarding any previous criminal record.

Dorothy Goodman School as part of Open Thinking Partnership is seeking to promote the employment of disabled people and will make any adjustments considered reasonable to the above duties under the terms of the Equalities Act 2010 to accommodate a suitable disabled candidate.

Dorothy Goodman School shares a commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people. Our commitment is underpinned by robust processes and procedures that seek to maximise opportunity, minimise risk and continuously promote a culture that embraces the ethos of safeguarding amongst our workforce.
