About This Role

Start Date: 01 August 2026

Application Deadline: Extended to 13 April 2026

North London Collegiate School Jeju is seeking a Senior School Teacher of English.

We invite applications for an English Teacher to become a part of our vibrant English Department within the Senior School at NLCS Jeju.

The position of Senior School Teacher of English involves the planning and delivery of outstanding lessons for Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and IBDP English. Candidates must possess experience teaching IBDP English A.

Successful applicants will join a large team of educators, many of whom have additional responsibilities, within a high-performing and academically rigorous department that guarantees our students receive a consistently high-quality education. This role also includes duties as a Senior School Form Tutor.

NLCS Jeju is committed to a holistic educational experience, providing a range of popular clubs, services, and societies throughout the week, including Saturday mornings. The successful candidate will be expected to actively participate in the school’s co-curricular activities, which includes supporting evening and weekend events throughout the academic year.

THE NLCS INTERNATIONAL FAMILY OF SCHOOLS

Founded in 1850 by Frances Mary Buss, North London Collegiate School (UK) has a rich tradition of delivering an academically ambitious education for girls. For over 160 years, the School has been at the forefront of providing aspirational and high-achieving education for women, consistently ranking among the leading schools in the UK. Its examination results frequently top UK league tables, and the School enjoys impressive success rates for Oxbridge admissions.

NLCS Jeju was the first international school established within the NLCS family, opening its doors in 2011. This was followed by the launch of NLCS Dubai in 2017 and NLCS (Singapore) in 2020. The latest addition to the NLCS International family is NLCS Kobe in Japan, which began operations in August 2025.

Unlike many UK independent schools, NLCS maintains a strong focus on fostering connections with its international branches. Efforts are made to replicate the ethos and standards of NLCS across its overseas locations. Staff for international schools are typically interviewed in London by NLCS (UK) representatives along with personnel from the overseas institutions. All appointed teachers are invited to London for induction and training at the UK school, with costs covered by our partners. Once an overseas branch is operational, it undergoes regular monitoring and evaluation by the UK school, promoting connections through student and staff exchanges, joint departmental initiatives, educational visits, and extracurricular collaborations such as videoconference debates and co-created student publications.

NLCS International actively seeks passionate and ambitious education professionals to join our network, offering a wealth of opportunities for professional growth and career advancement within our esteemed group of schools.
