About This Role

We are looking for a Routes to Inclusion Mentor to join our team here at Nottingham Academy, Secondary Site!

We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Learning Mentor to work throughout our secondary academy, supporting the social, emotional and mental health well-being of our pupils. Your role will include one to one and small group mentoring and support to improve academic progress and learning, including delivering a range of teaching and learning interventions to targeted pupils.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Will form part of a small but experienced specialist team in a diverse and ever-changing environment
  • Will assist specialist teaching staff in a small, high-level needs environment
  • Have a strong interest in working with a niche cohort of students with low communication and literacy levels.
  • Have experience of working with children & families in overcoming barriers to learning.
  • Work closely with staff and outside agencies to ensure children at Nottingham Academy have excellent provision.
  • Promote self-esteem, confidence and help children to become emotionally healthy.
  • Have high expectations of themselves, striving for the best in everything they do.
  • Be an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious team player; open to learning and professional development.

Compensation

£24,818.00 - £27,369.00 Annually (Actual) GAT 6, 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
