Breakfast Club and Midday Supervisor
About This Role
We are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Breakfast Club and Midday Supervisor. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is committed to creating a safe, happy and welcoming school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Breakfast Club
- Prepare and serve simple, nutritious breakfasts in line with food hygiene standards
- Ensure the Breakfast Club runs smoothly and safely
- Supervise children before the start of the school day
- Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction
Lunchtime Supervision
- Supervise pupils during lunchtime, both in the dining hall and playground
- Promote a happy, calm and inclusive lunchtime atmosphere
- Encourage good manners, positive play and healthy eating
- Support children’s wellbeing and ensure their safety at all times
We are looking for someone who:
- Puts children first- at the heart of everything you do;
- Takes part in the planning of and oversee a varied programme of activities.
- Supervises, leads and assists children in games and activities whilst encouraging good behaviour in accordance with the core values of the school.
- Takes responsibility, along with other staff, for the health and safety, accident prevention and smooth running of emergency procedures for both children and other members of staff.
- Understands and follows the school’s Child Protection policy.
- Assists with the setting out and clearing up of any equipment.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Takes part in staff training as offered.
- Carries out any reasonable requests from designated Line Manager or SLT.
- Works within a team with other staff.
- Supervises, leads and assists children in the lunch hall.
The hours would be as follows:
7.45 - 8.45am - Breakfast Club Monday to Friday
11.50 - 1.05pm - Lunchtime - Tuesday and Thursday
If you have a child attending Killisick Junior School your child will be able to attend Breakfast Club free of charge.
