Strong subject knowledge across Food and Nutrition
Experience of planning and delivering engaging, well‑structured lessons at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Experience of teaching mixed‑ability groups and adapting effectively to meet the needs of all learners
Secure understanding of assessment for learning and strategies to support pupil progress and outcomes
Passion for Food and Nutrition and the ability to inspire pupils to engage with the subject
High expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour and presentation of work
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to establish positive routines and relationships
Excellent organisational skills, particularly in managing practical lessons safely and effectively
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a faculty and wider school team
