Founded in 2017, Dubai Heights Academy has been delivering an inclusive, vibrant, and high-quality education to a diverse international student population from FS1 to Year 12 (2025-2026), with plans for future growth to Year 13.

Our state-of-the-art campus includes dedicated facilities for each educational stage, along with a 380-seat auditorium. Among our amenities are three climate-controlled swimming pools, fully equipped science and computer labs, designated areas for art, design technology, music, and drama, a library, two multi-purpose sports halls, a full-sized football pitch, multiple outdoor play spaces, and a spacious canteen. Dubai Heights Academy implements a curriculum that caters to the diverse needs of our students, based on the National Curriculum for England. This curriculum has been adapted to meet local standards and incorporates Arabic language, Islamic Studies, Moral Education, and Social Studies. Additionally, we have partnered with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) to develop and introduce a customized AI (artificial intelligence) project-based program for secondary students, along with an early language initiative utilizing social robots for Primary students, enhancing our comprehensive curriculum.

Job Overview

Dubai Heights Academy is seeking a passionate and dependable female PE Technician/Sports Assistant to support our PE department and school sports programs. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in lesson preparation, equipment maintenance, assisting teaching staff, and contributing to outstanding PE and sports experiences across the school.

This position also involves coaching and managing specific sports teams, conducting training sessions, and attending fixtures and tournaments as required.

Key responsibilities include:

Setting up and organizing equipment and facilities for PE lessons

•
Supporting teachers during practical PE and swimming sessions while motivating student involvement

•
Coaching and supervising school sports teams (training, fixtures, and oversight)

•
Managing and maintaining sports equipment and storage areas

•
Assisting in the planning and execution of school sports events and fixtures

•
Promoting positive behavior, teamwork, and enthusiasm for sports

We are looking for a candidate who:

Has experience with children or coaching young athletes

•
Is confident in leading sports teams and supporting PE lessons

•
Is organized, proactive, and an effective communicator

•
Has a strong passion for sports, teamwork, and student development

Desirable: Qualifications in sports coaching (including swimming), First Aid certification, and/or experience in an educational setting.
