Cairo English School (CES) is on the lookout for a talented Assistant Head of Early Years Foundation Stage to join our team in August 2026. About the Position: At CES, effective leadership transcends mere guidance; it involves motivating others, fostering enduring partnerships, creatively addressing challenges, and steering change with a fresh, visionary approach. In your role as Assistant Head of EYFS, you will be instrumental in fostering a nurturing, stimulating, and high-achieving setting for our youngest learners. You will support their academic and social development while ensuring seamless transitions from EYFS to Key Stage 1.

Curriculum Insight: CES follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework 2021, tailored to suit the distinct Egyptian context. We are searching for a leader who possesses a comprehensive understanding of the EYFS framework and a demonstrated ability to implement it effectively within a diverse international school environment. The ideal candidate will showcase a history of exceptional practice, robust leadership skills, and a talent for cultivating positive relationships with children, staff, and families.

The Perfect Candidate Will Possess:
- At least 3 years of leadership experience within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- A proven history of exceptional teaching and creative curriculum implementation in EYFS.
- Expertise in developing engaging, high-quality learning spaces that promote excellence.
- Experience in evaluating provision and utilizing data to enhance outcomes.
- Strong engagement with parents and effective strategies for home-school collaboration.
- Successful experience in implementing assessment techniques that boost student achievement.
- The ability to inspire, lead, and motivate both children and staff.

Essential Skills and Knowledge Include:
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
- A demonstrated capacity to elevate pupil achievement and behavior standards.
- In-depth understanding of how young children learn and flourish in the Early Years.
- Creativity in delivering a comprehensive, balanced, and relevant EYFS curriculum.
- Evidence of inspiring and challenging staff to reach excellence.
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Proficient use of ICT and data to enhance learning strategically.

CES provides its Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with:
- A tax-free salary in two currencies, EGP and GBP.
- A renewable two-year contract.
- An annual flight or cash equivalent.
