Egypt British International School (EBIS) is on the lookout for a dedicated and qualified Physics Teacher to become part of our team for the 2026 academic year. We seek an enthusiastic and knowledgeable educator who is passionate about providing exceptional science education within a supportive and culturally aware British curriculum setting. The ideal candidate will ignite curiosity, foster critical thinking, and encourage scientific exploration while promoting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related area, accompanied by recognized Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
● At least 2 years of successful teaching experience, ideally within an international British-curriculum environment.
● Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum, with middle school experience preferred.
● Ability to create engaging, practical, and inquiry-led science lessons.
● Proficient in positive classroom management, cultivating an atmosphere of respect and high expectations.
● Experience utilizing formative and summative assessments to enhance student progress.
● Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
Job Description:
● Design and deliver high-quality Physics lessons that align with National Curriculum standards.
● Enhance students’ scientific understanding, analytical skills, and practical laboratory abilities.
● Ensure a safe and well-organized laboratory that meets health and safety regulations.
● Assess, track, and document student accomplishments, providing timely feedback and targeted support.
● Maintain detailed records in line with school policies and safeguarding protocols.
● Effectively communicate with parents/guardians about student academic performance and wellbeing.
● Collaborate with peers on curriculum development, moderation, and school-wide initiatives.
● Participate in enrichment activities such as STEM clubs, science fairs, or co-curricular programs.
● Attend weekly CPD sessions and engage in continuous professional development.
