Acorn International School Rome seeks IB Physics teacher
About This Role
Are you a scientist at heart and an educator by trade? Acorn International School in Rome is seeking a dynamic IB Physics Teacher to join our growing High School department.
At Acorn, we bridge the gap between rigorous academic inquiry and a nurturing, international community. As we expand our IB Diploma Programme, we are looking for a specialist who can transform complex equations into moments of "Eureka!"
The Role:
Master the New Syllabus: Deliver the updated IB Physics curriculum
Lead the Lab: Guide students through the Scientific Investigation (Internal Assessment), fostering high-level experimental design and data analysis skills.
Conceptual Teaching: Move beyond "plug-and-play" math to help students understand the why behind the physics, connecting classroom learning to global contexts and the Theory of Knowledge (TOK).
Mentor Future Scientists: Support students in their Extended Essays and prepare them for success in both SL and HL external examinations.
Why You’ll Love Acorn:
Exceptional Environment: Located in the beautiful Vejo Park, our campus offers a unique natural setting that inspires scientific observation.
Small Class Sizes: With an average of 18 students, you can truly personalize the learning journey and mentor each "Acorn" individually.
A Collaborative Culture: Join a team that values dialogue, conscience, and determination, where teachers are partners in innovation.
Professional Growth: Access to official IB professional development and a supportive leadership team.
Who We Are Looking For:
