Egypt British International School (EBIS) is seeking a qualified and experienced Arabic Teacher to join our team for the 2026 academic year, aligned with our mission of Enriching – Exploring – Excelling and our core values of enrichment, empowerment, esteem, and excellence.
We are looking for a passionate educator committed to developing students’ Arabic language proficiency, cultural identity, and appreciation of Arabic heritage. The successful candidate will support students’ academic, linguistic, and social development while promoting pride in the Arabic language.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Arabic Literature, Education, or a related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., Diploma in Education, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience, preferably within an international or bilingual school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Ministry of Education requirements and/or Arabic curriculum frameworks relevant to international schools in Egypt.
- Native proficiency in spoken and written Arabic.
- Strong understanding of Arabic grammar, literature, reading comprehension, and writing instruction.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to support both native and non-native Arabic speakers (if applicable).
- Skilled in positive classroom management and fostering a culture of respect and engagement.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Job Description:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Arabic lessons aligned with school and national curriculum expectations.
- Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in Arabic.
- Promote appreciation of Arabic literature, culture, and heritage.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive and timely feedback.
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments as required.
- Maintain accurate records in line with school policies and safeguarding expectations.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding academic progress and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and whole-school initiatives.
- Attend weekly CPD sessions and contribute to ongoing professional development.
