The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Art Teacher to inspire and engage pupils across Year 5 to Year 8. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our rapidly expanding group of schools and to nurture creativity and artistic confidence in our learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Art in line with the British curriculum.
• Develop and deliver engaging, creative, and challenging lessons.
• Contribute to curriculum development and collaborative lesson planning.
• Encourage experimentation with a range of media, techniques, and artistic styles.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Contribute to exhibitions, competitions, and the wider extracurricular life of the school.

 

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• A certified teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent) from a UK university.
• A degree with a Fine Art or Art and Design specialism.
• Experience teaching Art within a British curriculum setting.
• Strong lesson planning and curriculum development skills.
• High motivation for teaching and a positive, enthusiastic approach.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.

Desirable

• Proven experience teaching in the UK.
• Experience supporting pupils’ transition into Key Stage 3 and beyond.
• Ability to contribute to an additional subject or enrichment activity.
• Recent UK or international school experience.

Please note: Due to Qatar’s work visa restrictions, applicants must be under the age of 50.

Compensation
