Assessment Coordinator (with Teaching Responsibilities) - August 2026
About This Role
We are looking to appoint an outstanding Assessment Coordinator (with Teaching Responsibilities) to join the team immediately or for August 2026. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the schools Vision and Mission as well as all policies, academic standards and pastoral support in the Primary school.
1. Assessment Leadership
Lead the development and implementation of the school’s assessment policy and procedures.
Ensure assessment practices align with ADEK requirements, British curriculum standards, and external benchmark expectations.
Coordinate internal and external assessments including baseline, formative, summative, and standardized tests.
Oversee the assessment calendar and ensure assessments are scheduled and implemented effectively.
Promote Assessment for Learning (AFL) strategies across the school.
2. Data Analysis and Reporting
Collect, analyze, and interpret assessment data to track student progress and attainment.
Provide regular data reports to senior leadership and teaching staff.
Support teachers in using data to inform instructional planning and differentiation.
Identify achievement gaps and intervention priorities.
Ensure compliance with ADEK data reporting requirements.
3. Curriculum and Standards Alignment
Work with Heads of Department and teachers to ensure assessment aligns with curriculum objectives and learning outcomes.
Support the development of common assessments, moderation processes, and marking standards.
Lead internal moderation to ensure reliability and consistency of assessment.
4. Staff Training and Support
Provide professional development for teachers on effective assessment strategies and data use.
Support teachers in designing high-quality assessments and rubrics.
Promote best practices in formative assessment and feedback.
5. ADEK Compliance
Ensure all assessment practices meet ADEK regulations and inspection expectations.
Support school leadership during ADEK inspections with assessment evidence and documentation.
Maintain accurate assessment records and documentation.
6. Teaching Responsibilities
Teach assigned classes according to the school timetable.
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the British curriculum.
Use effective assessment strategies to support student progress.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
Participate in planning, marking, reporting, and parent communication.
Skills
The successful applicant will be:
A fully certified teacher, holding a B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent
Passionate about providing outstanding teaching and learning
Highly experienced in the National Curriculum for England
Efficient in people development and have proven leadership and communication abilities
Minimum of 3 years’ experience
A minimum of IELTS 6 or equivalent may be required

Candidate Requirements
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
- Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
- A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
- Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
