About This Role

Tiger Primary School is seeking to appoint a committed and strategic Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion to join our leadership team from September 2026. This is a key leadership role within the school, focused on ensuring that every child is supported to thrive, achieve and belong within our school community.

The successful candidate will play a central role in driving our inclusive culture and ensuring high-quality provision for disadvantaged pupils and those with additional needs. They will lead on the strategic development of inclusion across the school and ensure that our approach aligns closely with the Future Schools Trust Inclusion Strategy and the expectations of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework.

Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, the Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion will provide strategic oversight of SEND, disadvantaged pupils and wider inclusion priorities, ensuring that provision is robust, responsive and has measurable impact on pupil outcomes.

This role will include line management and oversight of the SENDCo and SEND team as well as cohesive work with the attendance team as part of the portfolio.

We are looking for an individual who will

  • Champion a culture of inclusion where every pupil is known, supported and challenged to succeed

  • Lead and drive the school’s Pupil Premium strategy, ensuring strong provision and measurable impact for disadvantaged pupils

  • Provide strategic oversight of SEND and inclusive provision, working closely with the SENDCo to ensure high-quality identification, support and review processes

  • Line manage and develop the SEND team, ensuring consistency, accountability and high expectations

  • Implement and drive the Future Schools Trust Inclusion Strategy within the school

  • Work strategically with leaders and staff to ensure that teaching, curriculum and wider provision meet the needs of all learners

  • Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and engagement, particularly for vulnerable groups

  • Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents, external agencies and the wider community

  • Contribute positively to the school’s ethos, leadership culture and continuous improvement

  • Bring extensive experience and expertise to the classroom to model best practice, and have measured impact when required to teach
