About This Role
We are currently seeking a conscientious and reliable Attendance Assistant with the drive, commitment and creativity to support us in providing the best possible opportunities for our pupils.
Hall Green School is a very popular, heavily oversubscribed and academically successful 11-16 academy. We are a highly diverse institution, both ethnically and as a fully accessible mainstream school, attracting pupils from across the city with physical disabilities. We have wonderful pupils who fully contribute to the school’s caring ethos. Likewise, staff work hard to ensure "there is always an adult on hand whom they [pupils] feel they can talk to and who will listen to them (Ofsted 2025). As a school, we pride ourselves on being warm, inclusive and welcoming, where positive relationships are at the centre of what we do.
The school is part of the newly formed West Midlands Academy Trust (WMAT), which opened in January 2025. As one of the three founding members, the school has been integral to forming the Trust’s mission:

This is a part-time post working 30 hours per week over 5 days, term-time only. On occasions, hours may need to be worked flexibly depending on the school's needs and could change at short notice.
We are seeking a colleague who will:
promote and support high levels of attendance;
support students in achieving their full potential;
promote a positive attendance and punctuality culture;
form strong relationships with parents/carers;
work as a member of the school's pastoral team, working with all school staff, parents and pupils.
The successful candidate will be a reliable, enthusiastic and flexible team-player who can communicate well with staff and pupils alike. A clean driving license and business insurance are also required for this post.
