Job Overview
This role focuses on delivering high-quality Biology teaching at AS/A Level, while contributing to the broader Science curriculum at KS3 and IGCSE The teacher will engage students through practical work, inquiry-based learning, and strong subject expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Biology at AS/A Level, preparing students for external examinations
Deliver KS3 Science and IGCSE Science, ensuring strong foundational knowledge
Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and inquiry-based lessons
Assess, monitor, and support student progress through effective feedback and intervention
Prepare and manage laboratory activities in line with safety standards
Contribute to curriculum planning and development within the Science department
Support extracurricular activities
Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with students and parents
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Education or a relevant bachelor’s degree
Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant role at an international school
Recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE with QTS or an equivalent licence
Understanding of the Cambridge International Curriculum
Native English speaker or excellent English proficiency both spoken and written
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to Values-based Education and Enquiry Learning
Experience teaching AS/A Level Biology

- Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
