The Governors seek to appoint a Caretaker who will be expected to provide an effective caretaking service.  It is essential that the successful candidate has the experience of carrying out specialist building maintenance work, within the reasonable capacity of a handyperson.  It is desirable that applicants have specific skills in either electrics or plumbing or other trades.

This is a full-time position for 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. There are opportunities to work overtime at weekends and evenings to cover ad hoc school lettings and events. 

The salary is Grade 5 spinal points 12 to 13, £25,989 - £26,403 on the Single Status Pay Spine. Once the 2026-27 pay uplift has been agreed, it will be backdated to the salary from 1st April 2026. An additional allowance may be payable if working an alternating shift pattern.
