About This Role

I-Shou International School, located in Taiwan, is a dynamic learning community committed to providing an excellent international education. We are seeking a dedicated College Counselor to join our team and support our students through their college application process, commencing August 2026. Candidates with US university counseling and IB Diploma Programme (DP) experience will be prioritised.

Interested candidates must hold a passport from a country in which English is an official language and possess a current and active teacher registration/license authorizing them to teach in public schools in their home country or elsewhere.

Job Description

The College Counselor will guide and assist IB DP students in exploring post-secondary options, preparing applications, writing personal statements, and making informed decisions about their future academic paths. The counselor will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and external institutions to ensure each student receives personalized support tailored to their goals.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a college or career counselor
  • Strong knowledge of university admission processes worldwide with emphasis on IB DP requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills for working effectively with students, families, faculty members, and external organizations
  • Ability to provide individualized counseling that addresses diverse student needs
  • Proficiency in organizing workshops or seminars related to college admissions
  • Familiarity with digital tools used for managing applications and tracking deadlines
