About This Role

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Computer Science for August 2026. For suitably qualified candidates, there may be opportunities for middle leadership roles in curriculum, Head of Year, ECA Coordination, or Head of Careers. Opened in 2014, GEMS FirstPoint School is a Premium British Curriculum school located in the heart of The Villa community, Dubai. The school currently provides exceptional education to around 2,000 students from Nursery (age 2) to Year 13, with exciting plans for future expansion.


FPS is proud to be an inclusive, values-driven school, with students representing over 90 nationalities. Our campus boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a dedicated sports and performing arts centre, swimming pools, theatre, sports hall, dance, drama, and music rooms. Successful candidates will:

  • Hold a BEd or Bachelor's degree with a PGCE/PGDE or equivalent

  • Have proven experience teaching Computer Science to A level

Candidate Requirements

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
