About The Role and You

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Start Date: April or September 2026

Your main responsibilities will include:

·         Teaching Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach at A Level desirable
·         Planning and delivering engaging, innovative, and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners
·         Supporting the development of the Computer Science curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant, challenging, and
aligned with current specifications
·         Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on pupil progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
·         Promoting a positive learning environment with high expectations of behaviour and achievement
·         Contributing to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities, clubs, and school events
·         Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support departmental development

We are looking for someone who has:

·         Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
·         A degree in Computer Science or a closely related subject
·         Experience teaching Computer Science at KS3 and KS4 (A Levels desirable)
·         Strong subject knowledge, including programming and computational thinking
·         A passion for education and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils
·         Excellent communication and organisational skills
·         A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
