Teacher of Computer Science
We are on the lookout for a motivated, inspiring, and resilient secondary school teacher who has a successful history of attaining high academic standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, engaging with well-motivated students of varying abilities. The ideal applicant should possess a strong capacity to evaluate students' progress, demonstrate excellent literacy and numeracy skills, and actively participate in the school community.
Essential:
- Hold a degree from a British University (B.Ed, BA Hons with QTS or PGCE);
- Be a native-level English speaker;
- Have at least one year of teaching experience in a Secondary school;
- Ideally possess experience teaching the National Curriculum in England/Wales (candidates with experience in the Scottish or Northern Irish curriculum are also encouraged to apply);
- Exhibit outstanding subject knowledge and adopt a dynamic and creative teaching approach that motivates all learners;
- Maintain high expectations for students' learning and behavior;
- Show experience and/or knowledge in pastoral care.
Desirable:
- Provide evidence of recent relevant continuing professional development (including current knowledge of AfL, EAL, ICT, literacy/numeracy across the curriculum, classroom motivation, and effective differentiation methods);
- Have recent experience teaching students in Key Stages 3 to 5;
- Experience teaching second language learners.
