Deputy Principal – Junior College (Year 0–6)

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership team at Excellere College.

We are looking for an inspiring, organised, and collaborative leader to champion our Junior College during this fixed-term period. You will be someone who is willing to pray first and support our school’s special character.

As deputy principal, you will:

• be pivotal in maintaining the high standards of teaching and learning across our Year 0–6 cohort
• balance strategic leadership with a "boots on the ground" approach, ensuring our youngest learners continue to thrive.

We are looking for a leader who is passionate about structured literacy and numeracy, possesses a deep understanding of the junior curriculum, and has the relational skills to lead a dedicated team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Junior College leadership: Providing guidance and support to staff and students within Y0–6
• Classroom practice: Teaching every Friday (Year 6) to maintain a strong connection with the classroom
• Specialist mathematics: Leading 5 hours per week of our MAP structured mathematics programme (confirmed for the remainder of the 2026 school year)
• Assessment oversight: Driving data-informed outcomes across the Junior College.
