North Zealand International School, a school committed to academic excellence and holistic learning, is seeking a passionate and dedicated IB Diploma Programme Mathematics teacher to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for any candidate who is enthusiastic about fostering a love for Mathematics and guiding learners through the challenging yet rewarding Diploma Programme. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach a share of the Mathematics lessons at IGCSE level.
Depending on qualifications and experience, additional roles and responsibilities may be included in the position offered. The role would be available from the 1st of April, however, we would also be happy to offer employment from the 1st of August.
JOB ROLE
- Deliver high-quality Mathematics instruction in accordance with the IB Diploma Programme curriculum
- Develop engaging lesson plans and assessments that cater to diverse learning needs
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices with other Mathematics teachers
- Provide regular feedback to learners and support their academic growth
- Prepare students for the IB DP examinations and ensure they meet learning objectives
- Engage with parents and the school community to promote student achievement.
- Be creative and enthusiastic in your approach to teaching
- Be committed to the safeguarding of, and the personal and social development of learners
- Make a positive contribution to our school community and culture through active engagement and in our extra-curricular programme and community-based events
QUALIFICATIONS
- Be a fully qualified Mathematics teacher
- A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Teaching experience with DP Mathematics at both Higher and Standard Level is desirable
- Have a robust knowledge, understanding and track record of improving learning
- Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Experience working in an international school setting is a plus
