Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver play-based learning aligned with the EYFS Framework.

  • Create a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Observe, assess and record children’s development and progress.

  • Support children’s personal, social and emotional development.

  • Differentiate learning to meet individual needs, including EAL and SEND.

  • Build positive relationships with parents and provide regular updates on progress.

  • Maintain accurate learning journals and assessment records.

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff.

  • Adhere to safeguarding, welfare and health & safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Studies (or equivalent).

  • Recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).

  • Experience teaching within EYFS (British curriculum preferred).

  • Strong understanding of child development (ages 2–5).

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and welfare requirements in early years.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to inclusive education.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
