English and Social Studies Teacher

Hato Pāora College is seeking an innovative and passionate English and social studies teacher to join our kura.

Based in Manawatu, Hato Pāora is a Catholic boys school committed to nurturing creativity and fostering a supportive learning environment for students in Year 9-13. 

We are looking for someone who has strengths in literacy and numeracy at a junior level in particular.

As a key contributor to our kura, the ideal applicant will be well-organised, resourceful and have a can-do attitude. There will be a degree of flexibility to design a timetable around the successful candidate. Please state your specialisms in your application. 

The ideal applicant would have a solution-focused approach to education, place tauira at the centre of their teaching, seek excellence in their practice, and have a commitment to and understanding of mana ōrite mō te mātauranga Māori.
