Instructors for The One
The Instructors for The One by Academia Cotopaxi provide short-term support within the English Language Acquisition programs. Their primary goal is to deliver high-quality English instruction that engages students and helps them improve their language proficiency rapidly. These instructors serve as an additional resource to ensure students develop the necessary language skills to be successful at Academia Cotopaxi, while promoting the school’s mission, values, and classroom expectations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Fluent level of English language- C2 or native required
Teacher certification (CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, TEFL, TKT, TESL).
Minimum Bachelor in Education or related field of studies
Experience engaging students in active learning that values the diverse input of each unique student and promotes co-constructing knowledge and engaging in concept driven learning and skills development.
Experience using positive classroom management skills in learning spaces that promote student ownership, responsibility, and community.
A positive attitude and willingness to engage as a team to best support students.
Shared commitment to helping students experience a positive class culture and feel belonging in the learning environment.
Experience using observations and in combination with other assessment tasks to monitor student progress and ensure each student is engaged in a meaningful way.
Comfort using a variety of technology tools for both lesson delivery and documenting of student learning.
Ideally, at least two years experience as an ELS Instructor.
Comfort having support teachers and other professionals work into the learning environment to meet individual student needs.

Candidate Requirements
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
- Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
- A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
- Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
