Pathways School, Barking and Dagenham
Pathways School is a sector leading special school for pupils aged Year 3 to Year 11. We balance the twin imperative of high quality teaching and learning with meeting SEMH needs to make certain that our pupils progress as great adults.
Pupils receive a sector leading education with access to the full national curriculum made accessible through the delivery of specialist adaptations. We have strong links with University training providers and offer mentor training and support. Opportunities to lead from day one
As a specialist classroom teacher you will lead a class team composed of HLTAs and support staff to ensure that the pupils you teach receive the best possible education. You’ll also work with specialist support staff to track, monitor and support pupils through specific learning interventions. This may look like working within our specialist therapeutic school to deliver laser focussed interventions to improve the outcomes of the most vulnerable pupils.

You will be responsible for teaching Secondary age pupils. You will need to have:
A passion for learning and willing to develop yourself into a sector leading educator
An understanding of social, emotional and mental health needs of pupils
QT status with a good honour’s subject degree
Recent experience of teaching English to students across the primary or secondary age range

Candidate Requirements

- A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
- Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
