Exciting opportunity to join one of Bucharest’s leading international schools.

The International School of Bucharest seeks to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, specialist English Teacher for all three key stages. The candidate should be able to provide outstanding teaching, enabling our students to achieve their full potential. Familiarity and experience with Cambridge IGCSE, CAIE A-Level and/or IB Diploma examination courses would be a distinct advantage.

The International School of Bucharest has a purpose-built campus located close to the city, allowing for living in the city centre and commuting. The school has a well-established community among its staff and students, with low staff turnover rates. We are looking for a teacher to contribute to an already thriving school community within an experienced English department. 

A candidate is expected to:

  • Have experience in teaching all three key stages from 3-5.

  • Hold a local or international teaching qualification;

  • Be a highly motivated, dynamic teacher with a proven track record;

  • Be willing to contribute to the wider school community and the English Department through extra-curricular activities;

  • Have a positive attitude toward students;

  • IGCSE and A-Levels or IBDP experience will be a distinct advantage.

Candidate Requirements

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
