Position Title: ES/MS Strings Teacher
Division: Elementary School & Middle School
Supervisor: Division Principal/Assistant Principal
Position Summary:
The Middle School Strings Teacher is responsible for inspiring and guiding G5-8 students in developing their musical skills, appreciation, and performance abilities on string instruments (violin, viola, cello is required, and double bass). This teacher will foster a love of music through engaging instruction, ensemble work, and performances that promote creativity, collaboration, and excellence. Teaching candidates must be able to clearly articulate developmentally appropriate instructional practices that are research-based, current, and include integration of technology, inquiry, and creativity as foundational components.
In order to meet Concordia school-wide learning outcomes (SLOs) and grade level expectations, the teacher carries out the following broad and specific responsibilities across the following domains: Planning and Preparation, Classroom Management, Instruction, and Professional Responsibilities.
Concordia seeks specialists who understand MTSS and UDL and can integrate these approaches to create inclusive, engaging learning experiences for all students.

Candidate Requirements
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
- Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
- A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
- Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
