About This Role
Position: Estates Technician
Location: On site, Westbury-on-Trym BS9 3BA
Hours: This is an all-year round appointment based on a 40-hour working week Monday to Friday with an hour unpaid lunch break. The Estates Department is open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:00 am to 9:00 pm on Friday; a shift system is in place to cover these hours. Weekend work will be required in an addition to the weekday hours on a rota basis and days off will be given during the week for weekend working.
The closing date for this position will be Friday 16th April at 8:00am
The start date for this position will be as soon as possible

We are looking for a skilled and flexible Estates Technician to join our hard working Estates team.
Main responsibilities include:
In-house buildings maintenance including painting and decorating, carpentry and general maintenance
Routine swimming pool water quality monitoring and recording (training will be provided if required)
Legal compliance monitoring and recording such as legionella, fire safe systems, asbestos and emergency lighting
Occasional inspection of all school transport, which could include the cleaning of vehicles and ad hoc driving duties
When required liaise with external contractors whilst they are on site
To be considered for this position, we are looking for the following:
Strong general DIY skills
Good communication skills
Full driving licence
The ability to work cohesively as part of a team and independently
ā¢ Positive, can-do attitude
Ideally, you will also have carpentry skills and experience of working with young people
