The Wilnecote School is part of the Community Academies Trust, a multi-academy trust with the express purpose of transforming schools in community Hubs, through applying a holistic view of education.
An exciting opportunity has become available at our state of the art school. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated teacher. As part of our drive to deliver outstanding outcomes for our most vulnerable students, we are seeking to appoint a Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Student Support team to work with individuals and groups of students who have special educational needs.
The Role
You will work closely with the Head of Learning Support (SENCO), Assistant Headteacher - Inclusion and class teachers to deliver complementary learning activities for pupils with SEND or inclusion needs. We are looking for someone with a flexible and creative approach, who can join our existing team and bring new ideas and a strong work ethic to deliver positive outcomes for students.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with individuals and groups of students with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with the Head of Learning Support, Assistant Headteacher - Inclusion, and class teachers.
- Deliver complementary learning activities for pupils with SEND or inclusion needs.
Qualifications
- Good literacy and numeracy skills with evidence of grade A*-C or 5+ in Maths and English at GCSE level.
- Experience of working with children and/or students is essential.
- Completion of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferable.
- QTS would be beneficial, but not essential.
