About This Role
Millfield School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Fencing Coach to join our coaching team on a fixed-term basis for a two-week period from 1 May 2026, to cover paternity leave.
As part of our specialist fencing programme, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality coaching to individual athletes, working closely with our wider performance support teams, including athletic development, psychology and performance analysis.
Millfield is committed to providing exceptional sporting opportunities for pupils aged 5ā18, regardless of experience or ability. Our renowned fencing programme includes specialist coaches across all three disciplines and is supported by outstanding facilities, including a purpose-built Fencing Salle with eight training pistes, each equipped with in-built scoring boxes and lighting.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality coaching to individual athletes.
- Collaborate with performance support teams.
Qualifications
- Ideally hold a Level 3 British Fencing Coaching qualification (ĆpĆ©e preferred, although other disciplines and qualification levels will be considered).
- Be a current member of British Fencing.
- Be up to date on the British Fencing Coaching Register.
- Previous experience coaching fencing within a school environment is essential.
What We Offer
- This is a part-time role, working 20 hours per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays across the two-week fixed-term period.
- The rate of pay is £21.42 per hour, plus statutory holiday pay.
