About This Role
We are looking for an outstanding Graduate Music Assistant to help support our school’s Music department.
The Graduate Music Assistant works closely with the Music Department Administrator to assist with the daily practical arrangements within the Music Department, including logistic and administrative support for rehearsals, concerts and recitals in and off-site, auditions, Music Prizes and ABRSM exams. They will also be encouraged to play a part in the broader co-curricular life of the School, especially with regard to ensembles within the Music Department.
The Graduate Music Assistant post offers an opportunity for a graduate to gain experience of the education sector and should provide a good springboard to a career in the teaching profession in either the independent or maintained sectors. The post offers some opportunity to explore class and small group teaching where appropriate and desired, supported by relevant training opportunities.
The Graduate Music Assistant reports directly to the Music Department Administrator.
This role is offered as a 1 year, fixed-term contract, starting September 2026. The salary offered for this role is between £25,462-£27,967 per annum, and is inclusive of London Weighting, plus an 8.57% contract hours payment (depending on performance or experience).
