About This Role

Are you an experienced and passionate educator looking for an opportunity to lead and inspire in a truly international environment? As a well-established, highly regarded, and not-for-profit international school in a sought-after location, we are seeking a dynamic, visionary Head of Creative Arts to join our team.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and well-qualified specialist in either Art, Music, Drama, Media Studies, or a combination of these disciplines, with a strong understanding of the British and IB curriculum up to Key Stage 5. As Creative Arts continues to thrive at our school, Media Studies is growing in popularity, and we are looking for a leader who can drive this expansion while championing artistic and creative excellence across all disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop an ambitious and engaging Creative Arts curriculum, fostering artistic excellence across the school.
  • Inspire students to explore and choose Creative Arts subjects, ensuring their value is recognised within the wider curriculum.
  • Oversee and support the continued growth of Media Studies, shaping it into a flagship subject alongside Art, Music, and Drama.
  • Organise high-quality performances, exhibitions, and creative showcases that celebrate student talent.
  • Drive collaborative and cross-disciplinary projects, integrating creative arts across the school.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant subject and qualified teacher status.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in curriculum development and departmental oversight.
  • A proven track record of delivering engaging and high-quality creative arts education.
  • A passion for student achievement, pastoral care, and extracurricular involvement.
  • A commitment to contributing beyond the classroom, including school productions, exhibitions, and whole-school events.

Our school is well-resourced, and we offer full support with induction and ongoing professional development.

If you are a creative, inspiring leader ready to make a significant impact—and excited by the opportunity to expand Media Studies while promoting Creative Arts—we would love to hear from you!

The closing date for applications is 9 March. However, interviews will take place on a rolling basis, and recruitment may close early once the right candidate is found.
