About This Role

Beaconhouse Private School Al Ain is seeking an experienced, passionate, and forward-thinking Head of Inclusion to lead and develop our inclusion provision across the school. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring that all students—particularly those with SEN, EAL, and additional learning needs—are fully supported to achieve their potential.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders, teachers, parents, and external agencies to create an inclusive, nurturing, and high-performing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the school’s Inclusion/SEN provision in line with school and regulatory requirements

  • Identify, assess, and support students with additional learning needs

  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to teaching and support staff

  • Monitor student progress and evaluate the impact of inclusion strategies

  • Liaise effectively with parents, therapists, psychologists, and external professionals

  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with policies

  • Promote a culture of inclusion, wellbeing, and high expectations across the school

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent) in Special Education

  • SEN/Inclusion-related qualifications or certifications (desirable)

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within Inclusion or SEN in the UAE

  • Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and interventions

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills

  • A student-centred mindset with a collaborative approach

  • Experience working in an international or British curriculum setting (preferred)

Candidate Requirements

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
