About This Role

Job Role

To lead and develop whole-school inclusive practices within our British curriculum school in Dubai. The successful candidate will champion inclusive education, oversee SEND provision, and ensure that all students are supported to achieve their full potential.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England, IGCSE and A-Level (or equivalent)

  • Teach a range of literature and language topics, fostering critical thinking and creativity

  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback

  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including EAL students

  • Prepare students for internal and external examinations

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and department initiatives

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Participate actively in school events, pastoral care, and professional development

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or a related subject

  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE / B.Ed. or equivalent)

  • Proven experience teaching English at secondary level within a British curriculum school (preferably in the UAE)

  • Strong knowledge of cirriculum frameworks

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned to the required curriculum.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for diverse learners.
  • Assess student progress rigorously and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Participate actively in broader school life, including extra-curricular programs.
  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues to elevate instructional strategies.

Candidate Requirements

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
