Located on a picturesque, historic site in Central Auckland, Elim Christian College Mt Albert is a state-integrated, Christian School, which caters for students from Y0-Y13.  We offer our students a quality education based on Christian values and the New Zealand Curriculum, Te Mātaiaho. 

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a permanent, full-time Head of Mathematics. We are looking for an experienced mathematics teacher to lead this subject in our school, who can also competently teach Y9-Y13 mathematics and statistics

The role includes:

• Leading the mathematics teaching team
• Overseeing the planning, moderation and NCEA compliance
• Teaching a range of mathematics classes between Years 9 and 13, inclusive of Year 13 Statistics.
• Collaborating with the junior years team on numeracy pedagogies and tracking students
• Leading and mentoring team members in the department
• Promoting and supporting professional development and learning
• Holding effective department meetings
• Contributing the the strategic direction of the school
• Ensuring school assessment, reporting practices are being adhered to
