About This Role

We are looking to recruit an excellent PE & Games teacher, who is passionate about sport, to teach small classes of pupils throughout the school and lead the PE & Games Department. The successful candidate will encourage high standards and should be able to teach and lead a team in a small department both on and off site.

This is a full time position to start in September 2026. We are looking for somebody who:

  • Has a clear vision for PE and Games for all age groups up to age 11

  • Demonstrates the leadership skills required to take responsibility for PE and Games throughout the school

  • Can offer a range of sports for all year groups

  • Is able to motivate and inspire pupils, parents and staff

  • Is looking to take an active and central part in the life of the school

  • Is enthusiastic and can demonstrate a pupil-centred approach

  • Will lead before/after school practices and fixtures to further develop the subject

PE & Games lessons are held at school on the playing fields or astro surface, or off-site at external centres. There will be the requirement to drive the school minibuses for some timetabled lessons and also for periodic fixtures. Candidates should hold appropriate teaching/coaching qualifications.

Candidate Requirements

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

  • Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
