MPR1 - UPR3 (£32,916 - £51,048) per annum + TLR2B (£6,068) per annum
Required to start September 2026

The Ellesmere Port Church of England College (EPC) is Ofsted graded GOOD in all areas. EPC was rated as ‘Good’ in all five key judgement areas, which include: Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management and Sixth Form provision.

The Ellesmere Port Church of England College is a secondary school with an ethos based on Anglican beliefs where we welcome students from all faiths.

We are a part of the Frank Field Education Trust and work collaboratively with others in our FFET family, allowing our students and staff many opportunities to develop themselves. The Ellesmere Port C of E College is looking to appoint a Head of Religious Education who will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and colleagues throughout the department, to drive continuing improvement in students’ progress, as well as the quality of Teaching and Learning within Religious Education.

Your role will involve developing best practice in Teaching and Learning within Religious Education across Key Stages 3 to 5. You should be innovative and willing to lead on a number of initiatives whilst working as part of a team.

You will be a dedicated, talented and enthusiastic individual who is looking for the next step in your career. You will be passionate about Teaching and Learning and developing pedagogical approaches that inspire learners. You will have the capacity and energy to drive improvement, to lead by example and to develop collaboration within the department.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who can demonstrate experience of raising attainment in Religious Education across all Key Stages. You will have a proven track record of success in the classroom and demonstrate high aspirations for our students.
