About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years/Lower School team on a fixed-term basis. In this role, you will play an integral part in supporting the learning and personal development of the children you are assigned to. You will assist the teacher with planning, assessments, and delivering high-quality lessons, ensuring a nurturing environment where children can thrive. You will work closely with pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs, providing tailored support to help them achieve their learning goals. As part of your responsibilities, you will also cover planned lessons and ensure smooth transitions for children, fostering their growth both independently and in group settings. Strong communication with staff and providing regular feedback on pupil progress will be key aspects of the role.

This is a full-time, fixed term contract role for the next term and a half.

Who we are looking for: 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable individual who has a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. You will need to have a Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent), as well as experience in working with young children and delivering phonics instruction. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with your ability to remain calm under pressure, will help you build positive relationships with both pupils and colleagues. A commitment to safeguarding and ensuring a supportive learning environment is essential. Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Candidate Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
