Capital School Bahrain is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of History to join our growing secondary team from August 2026.

The successful candidate will teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to contribute to A-Level History as the school continues to expand its post-16 provision. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate historian to join a supportive, ambitious British curriculum school with clear plans for Sixth Form growth.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Planning engaging, well-sequenced lessons aligned to the English National Curriculum

  • Supporting strong student progress and outcomes at IGCSE

  • Promoting critical thinking, historical enquiry, and effective written communication

  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort, and academic standards

  • Working collaboratively within the Humanities department and wider school team

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified teacher status in History or a related Humanities subject

  • Experience teaching the English National Curriculum and IGCSE History

  • Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom practice

  • A commitment to inclusive practice and student wellbeing

  • A-Level History teaching experience (desirable)

  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
