Kaitāia College is seeking an innovative and passionate history teacher to join our history department.  Based in the stunning far north of Aotearoa, our school is committed to nurturing creativity and fostering a supportive learning environment for students in Y7-13). 

As a key contributor to our history department, the ideal applicant will be well-organised, resourceful and have a can-do attitude.  There will be a degree of flexibility to design a timetable around the successful candidate and experience with teaching history will be advantageous.   Please state any senior subject specialty in your application.  Please state your specialisms in your application. 

We’re looking for someone who has a solution-focussed approach to education, places akonga at the centre of their pedagogy, seeks excellence in their practice, and has a commitment to and understanding of mana ōrite mō te mātauranga māori. 

This role will commence at the beginning of term 2, 2026.
