About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take on a key Business Partner role within the Shrewsbury Family of Schools, supporting our Prep Schools during a period of growth and development. Working closely with Heads and senior leaders, you will play an important role in shaping the people agenda, providing expert advice, and supporting the delivery of a consistent and effective HR strategy across multiple sites. This is a highly visible position offering the chance to influence decision-making, support organisational change, and help ensure that our schools continue to provide an outstanding environment for staff and pupils.

As a newly created role within a developing and collaborative HR function, this post offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact. You will work across the three Prep Schools, building strong relationships with leadership teams and acting as a trusted advisor on a wide range of people matters, from employee relations and performance management to change and integration projects. This role would suit a proactive and confident HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers, influencing outcomes, and contributing to the development of a positive and high-performing working culture.

About you

We are looking for an experienced HR professional with a strong generalist background and proven business partnering experience, ideally qualified to CIPD Level 7 or equivalent. You will be confident advising senior leaders on a wide range of people matters, including employee relations, performance management, organisational change and employment law, and able to balance a strategic approach with a hands-on, practical style. The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to manage priorities across multiple sites, and skilled at building effective working relationships. You will be comfortable working in a developing environment, enjoy influencing and supporting managers, and be motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution within a values-driven organisation.

This role will involve regular travel between our school sites across Shropshire and Cheshire, so the successful candidate must be comfortable working across multiple locations and able to travel as required.
