About This Role

I-Shou International School, located in Taiwan, is a dynamic learning community committed to providing an excellent international education. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated IB PYP Primary Homeroom Teacher (G1-3) to join our primary/elementary school team, commencing August 2026. This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners and contribute to their academic and personal growth within an international educational environment. Candidates with experience teaching in a dual language immersion program are preferred.

Interested candidates must hold a passport from a country in which English is an official language and possess a current and active teacher registration/license authorizing them to teach in public schools in their home country or elsewhere.

The Role

Position: IB PYP Primary Homeroom Teacher (G1-3)
Location: Taiwan
Education Stage: Elementary/Primary School
Curriculum: IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
Subject Area: Primary/Elementary/Childhood Education
Position Type: Full-time Teacher

Key Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year teaching experience, preferably with exposure to the IB PYP curriculum or similar inquiry-based programs.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles appropriate for primary-aged students.
  • Ability to design engaging lesson plans and assessments that foster critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration among students.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administration.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage but not mandatory.

Experience in a dual language immersion program is an advantage but not mandatory.
