IBDP/HSD Chemistry Specialist Teacher
The Hamilton International School is seeking an exceptional IBDP/HSD Chemistry Specialist Teacher to join our dynamic Secondary team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate educator to contribute to a growing school and play a key role in driving high standards of science education.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be an inspiring Chemistry educator, committed to igniting curiosity and promoting a love of scientific learning for students across Grades 9–12. They will also teach General Science in Grades 6–8 and contribute meaningfully to curriculum development, assessment, and the wider school experience.
Key Responsibilities
Teach General Science (Grades 6–8) and Chemistry (Grades 9–12) within the High School Diploma and/or IBDP pathways.
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that motivate, challenge, and support students of all abilities.
Plan creatively, assess effectively, and use data to drive student progress.
Contribute to departmental development, including schemes of work and subject resources.
Maintain excellent communication with students, colleagues, and parents.
Uphold high standards of classroom management and student behavior.
Support the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
Promote and model the school’s values, safeguarding expectations, and professional conduct.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant Science/Chemistry field.
Valid teaching certification (meeting Qatar MoEHE requirements).
Proven experience teaching Chemistry at High School Diploma/IBDP/A Level (IB DP Chemistry experience is a strong advantage).
Strong understanding of curriculum development and differentiated teaching.
Passion for fostering students’ intellectual curiosity and love of learning.
A positive, collaborative, and proactive team member committed to continuous improvement.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.

- Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
