Position Overview
The One World International School is seeking an experienced and committed teacher to deliver Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies, Cambridge IGCSE Economics, and Lower Secondary Humanities.

The successful candidate will teach Business Studies and Economics at IGCSE level while also teaching Humanities within the Cambridge Lower Secondary programme. The role requires strong subject knowledge, effective classroom practice, and the ability to support students in developing analytical thinking and real world understanding of business, economics, and global issues.

Teachers at TOWIS are expected to deliver engaging lessons, monitor student progress carefully, and use academic data to inform planning and teaching. The successful candidate will also contribute actively to the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies
• Teach Cambridge IGCSE Economics
• Teach Lower Secondary Humanities within the Cambridge Lower Secondary programme
• Plan engaging and well structured lessons aligned with Cambridge curriculum objectives
• Use assessment and academic data to inform teaching and support student progress
• Prepare students effectively for IGCSE examinations
• Assess student work regularly and provide clear feedback to support improvement
• Maintain a positive and well managed classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to school development
• Participate actively in the wider life of the school community

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Education, or a related field
• Recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent preferred)
• Proven experience teaching IGCSE Business Studies and IGCSE Economics
• Experience teaching within the Cambridge curriculum would be an advantage
• Experience teaching Humanities at lower secondary level
• Experience using assessment and academic data to inform planning and track student progress
Fluent English speaker with excellent written and spoken communication skills

Additional Requirement

Due to medical insurance requirements, applicants must be under the age of 65

  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
