We are looking to hire Islamic Studies Lead Teacher to join our high quality teaching team. The successful candidate will be an inspiring, well qualified and knowledgeable teacher who will be capable of teaching across the whole school. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Education is a minimum requirement.
Qualified Teacher with min 5 years of experience in delivering the National Islamic Curriculum to students across all ages.
Committed professionals who are dedicated to raising standards in alignment with the schools vision, mission and values.
Outstanding practitioners with the ability to deliver innovative lessons built on current pedagogical thinking and forward-thing initiatives.
Teachers with a natural desire to learn, contribute to and participate in the schools Professional Learning Community.
Skilled at using digital tools to ensure that learning is enriched and relevant so as to complement the schools ‘Apple Distinguished School’ status.
A professional who works collaboratively both within the immediate team and across the wider school community.
Role Purpose
Provide support and guidance to pupils, by removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective participation, raise aspirations and achieve full potential.
Work within the department to promote the development, implementation and evaluation of teaching and learning strategies to maximise student outcomes in the subject.
Monitor and evaluate teachers’ planning for learning and to respond appropriately to emergent issues and data indicators.
Develop your subject to be an example of excellence to others within and beyond our community that improve the quality of services for pupils with their learning development.
Responsibilities
Promote high standards in Islamic Studies, particularly in pupil progress.
Actively support the vision, ethos, culture and policies of the school.
Inspire and motivate pupils and teachers to uphold the vision for the Islamic Studies department.
Contribute to a department culture which is positive, purposeful and professional.
Engage positively in the school Appraisal process and performance management arrangements.
Be committed to safeguarding and to promoting the welfare of pupils and young people.
Drive the strategic priorities for Islamic, leading these aspects of the school development plan and reporting findings to the SLT.
Work alongside Islamic governance and parent engagement to ensure the curriculum is relevant, assessments achievable and learning engaging.
