About This Role

Due to growth, Bloom World Academy is seeking a skilled and service-oriented IT Technician to support the school’s IT infrastructure and technology requirements starting in August 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional to play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of hardware, software and networks across the school, while providing exceptional support to students, staff and parents.

Daily duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide first- and second-line technical support to staff and students, resolving IT issues efficiently.
  • Install, configure and maintain IT equipment, including computers, tablets, printers, projectors, smartboards and AV systems.
  • Support classroom technology and educational software, ensuring that teaching and learning are fully enabled by IT systems.
  • Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues, including LAN, WLAN and internet services.
  • Assist with managing user accounts, access rights and email systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and ensure systems are kept secure and up to date.
  • Provide technical support for school events, presentations and meetings.
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager on system upgrades, projects and improvements.

Required Candidate Profile

  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in an IT support or technician role (experience in an educational setting is an advantage).
  • Proficient in Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft 365 and networking fundamentals.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and peripheral devices.
  • Familiarity with classroom technology such as projectors, interactive whiteboards and learning platforms is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support users of all technical levels.
  • Organised, proactive and able to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, reliability and a solutions-focused approach.

Compensation

£35,000 - £55,000 (Tax-Free Equivalent)
