About This Role
This is a customer-facing role with the core function providing IT support. You will be involved in the day-to-day running of the IT Department, which includes liaising with all departments and delivering clear communication when managing IT queries.
The IT Technician is directly managed by the IT & Resources Manager.
The College is predominantly an MS Windows-based site with a small number of Macs. The College is a full BYOD site and uses Office 365 and Firefly for our VLE.
Role responsibilities
Providing technical support as required by the IT Manager and IT Team
Supporting customer queries received via the support line, email and face-to-face
Maintaining audio/visual equipment to a very high standard (once trained) for continuous use
Facilitating and supporting events hosted by the College by assembling equipment and managing recording and live streaming sessions
Ordering, receiving, stock checking and distributing stationery and resources
Supporting the team to manage the Reprographics room, MFDs and printers
Travelling around campus to support IT issues and queries
Supporting the team to manage College electronic signage
Administration of lT lost property and managing recycling
Logging tickets, assigning jobs to team members and completing first-time fixes for customers
