About This Role

Enishi International School, located in Japan, is a dynamic and diverse learning community committed to fostering global citizenship and academic excellence. We are currently seeking a passionate Japanese Language and Literature Teacher to join our Languages Department. This position involves teaching the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) curriculum at the High/Secondary School level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Japanese Language and Literature following the IB MYP framework.
  • Develop lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and cultural understanding.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and school activities.
  • Support students’ personal growth alongside their academic development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Japanese Language, Literature, Education or related field (minimum requirement).
  • At least 1 year of teaching experience, preferably within an international or IB environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the IB MYP curriculum standards for language acquisition.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English.
  • Ability to create inclusive classroom environments that support diverse learners.
